Isaac's Guide to Metroid

Metroid is a series of Metroidvania games in which you play as Samus Aran, a bounty hunter raised by a race of aliens known as the Chozo. The Chozo gave Samus her iconic Power Armor, which is what allows her to be such an effective bounty hunter.

The Metroid games take place in a variety of locations, such as space stations and alien planets, each with it's own unique story. There are a few locations that are in multiple games, such as SR388, the homeworld of the Metroid species, and Zebes, the Chozo homeworld where Samus grew up. Most of the Metroid games are 2D, however, the Metroid Prime series as well as Metroid: Other M are 3D.
